As a professional pet sitter, I am just that—Professional. I am NOT the brand new pet sitter that you find thru an online dog walking app. I am NOT the big company’s new Independent Contractor looking to fill in his summer with “easy” dog walks, nor the college student next door who does not have training for an emergency. But I AM one of the few professional Indy dog walkers that is Certified in Fear Free Techniques. Trust me, your dog will appreciate that I speak their language! And YOU will appreciate that I am experienced, reliable, trustworthy, and insured. I am trained in Canine First Aid and how to recognize / prevent a problem. (A professional is prepared for the emergencies that others have not even thought about.)
I am both the owner and service provider of Dog Visits by Mary. Your dog(s) will be personally cared for by me. You and your dog will get to know and trust me. You will always know who is coming into your home to care for your beloved furry friend. I will not send an independent contractor or employee. (This also means that I am able to keep my services at the lowest competitive rates.) Your best friend always knows who to expect. Tell your dog(s) that “Mary is coming” and they will learn my name!
To a dog, their whole world is a SMELL! Your dog would tell you that walks are not just for physical exercise and potty breaks. A whole new world of mental stimulation comes alive when a leashed dog is allowed to sniff and explore at his own pace! This exercise, playtime, and exploration of scents provide your dog with the companionship and stimulation he needs to replace separation anxiety, boredom and stress from too much time inside. Many of my clients are home when I visit, others have me walk while they are away at work.
At each visit, I leave behind a short check list (doggie report card) so that you know when I visited, and what your best friend and I did with our time. When you return home, you will even know when he pottied and had a treat or meal last. You will have reassurance knowing that medications were dispensed at the proper time. You have entrusted me with your dog, and as a professional, I can give you this peace of mind.
